Claire Slort
Graduate Student (Summer 2025-present)
Claire is from Potomac, Maryland. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Religion from Baylor University. While at Baylor she conducted research on the synthesis of N,N,N-Trisubstituted Sulfonyl Carbamates in Prof. Robert Kane's lab. She also attended an NSF REU at the New Jersey Institute of Technology where she worked on the development of novel monomer design to be used in polymerization reactions to form drug delivery vectors in Prof. Trevor Del Castillo's lab. She joined the Thomas lab in the summer of 2025 where she works on the synthesis of N-N alkyl migrations. In her free time she enjoys reading, running, cross stitching, and studying theology.
